Hey, it's Brooke & Maeve. 

       I was born and raised in Northern California, in the home my father built. I’m so grateful to have experienced the childhood I had, living in the same home, raising nearly every barn animal you could think of and adventuring in the good old outdoors. Little did I know then, that those many farm chores and opportunities to play in the sticks and mud, made me who I am today. Society these days is unfortunately so much different for the majority of people. It’s a nice reminder to take it back to the good old days and keep our children wholesome and grounded. There are many reasons as to why we are homeschooling, in which I think you can take a look at the world and understand why. At a young age, I learned work ethic and treating animals with love and respect, among many other quality lessons. We are now teaching these practices & beliefs to our daughter Maeve, as she is walking in my footsteps, quite literally. We are an example to the next generations, we are here to provide guidance and instill ethics, that will be shaping their future. Our focus is to homestead, homeschool, adventure, teach sports, travel, love, provide our food from the farm to table and preserve all that we can, including their childhoods. Along with my many other jobs and endeavors, somehow we find balance. I enjoy doing it all, with Maeve by my side… and somehow we don’t run out of energy. On a usual week you will find us baking, all things sourdough and many other goods from scratch, farming our food, preserving, cutting home grown flowers, tending our farm animals, gathering eggs and off to tend our vacation rentals & practice real estate. Yes, we are always busy, but life is short and we’re going to live it to the fullest! I hope you enjoy the content we post, if not that’s okay too. I quite often have requests to share my recipes, interior designing, farm life & travels, so I have created this space as a place to share them! We have a passion for an extraordinary life and I am inspired to create and share it with you!
